Password Hoax - Don't Send Your Password!It's been brought to our attention that a mass spam has possibly reached your inbox requesting an email with username and password - this is a scam and will likely result in your account being compromised and used to send additional spam. This message did not come from KanOkla. If you receive the aforementioned message, mark the message as spam in your webmail - this will remove the message from your inbox and also help the system learn which messages are legitimate and which are not. If you have responded, please contact our support offices via phone and change your mail password.
Fiber Ring UpgradeThis evening KanOkla will be performing a major upgrade to our fiber connectivity ring that carries all long distance and internet traffic. The upgrade will begin around 11:00 pm and is likely to take several hours to complete.
Moving Contacts to the New KanOkla WebmailMany customers have asked about their contacts in the old email system. You can still get those contacts, just follow the instructions below to export and import into the new mail system. 1) Type http://mail.kanokla.net in your Internet browser. This will bring up the old mail system log in. Enter your username and password. Also you will need to select under the webmail version box, Advanced (IE/FF), then click the login button.
New Mail System Ready!The new mail system is ready - all that's required is to either start using the new webmail links at the right of this story - or to modify your email program settings and you'll be ready to start taking advantage of the new system. In your mail program of choice, change the settings for your KanOkla email account (includes kanokla.net, wiredks.com, wiredok.com, and kskc.net) to as follows: Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.gmail.com Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.gmail.com

Coming Soon - Email with Instant Messaging!We're in the process now of upgrading our mail system to a completely new platform - the new system will have greatly improved spam filtering technologies, integrated text, voice and video chat, along with productivity enhancements like a to-do list and calendar. Keep on the lookout for more information as we get closer to production on this new system!
Extended Oklahoma Dialup Numbers ChangeContract changes with ATT will result in KanOkla changing their dial up access numbers in Ponca City, Newkirk, Blackwell, and Tonkawa, OK effective immediately. New phone numbers are posted on the support website at http://support.kanokla.com/node/181 and are immediately accessible. In addition to the number change will be a username/password information update - users will now need to log in using their entire email address (i.e. johndoe@kanokla.net or johndoe@kskc.net, etc.) rather than just their username. Password information will remain the same.
